Historic Reynolda Grounds and Gardens Tour

Date: Fri, May 19, 2017
Time: 2:00pm - 3:30pm

Reynolda Greenhouse

In recognition of Historic Preservation Month, Reynolda House and Reynolda Gardens are offering a free tour of our historic grounds. Explore the grounds as they existed 100 years ago as we highlight some of the hidden sites and stories of one of our city's finest landmarks celebrating its centennial in 2017.

The tour will be led by Curator of Education at Reynolda Gardens Amanda Lanier, and Director of Public Programs at Reynolda House Chris Jordan. Join us as we walk through the history and landscape of the grounds surrounding the manor house, including the lake, trails, and lawn. The tour will begin and end at the Reynolda Greenhouse and last approximately 1.5 hours. Please wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk on grass and trails. For more information, email Chris Jordan at

This event will take place on Friday, May 26 at 2 p.m. in the event of rain.

I look forward to joining you on this tour.

We'll see you then, Marian! Thanks! :)

It sounds terrific! Do we need to reserve tickets in advance, or do we just show up? Also, I am planning on a visit to the house and the Morse exhibit. Is the organ currently being demonstrated each day at 2:45? Thank you so much!

Hey, Victoria! Thanks for writing! No need to reserve tickets for this walking tour; just show up at the Reynolda Greenhouse by 2:00 p.m. You can reserve your tickets for the historic house and our "Samuel F.B. Morse's 'Gallery of the Louvre' and the Art of Invention" at this link. And yes, the organ will be playing at around 2:45 p.m.. See you soon!
