Pay What You Wish Thursday presented by Macy's

Date: Thu, September 27, 2018
Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Cost:

Admission is pay-what-you-wish. Cash donations to the Museum and to the Second Harvest Food Bank are welcome.

On this night at the Museum, and again on October 25, hours are extended and paid admission is waived as we invite the community into conversation around topics connected to Dorothea Lange's America and join together in fun fall activities. Music, a cash bar, and light refreshments from Providence Restaurant and Catering will be available.

September 27: With Migrant Mother, Dorothea Lange captured something universal in the face of Florence Owens Thompson, leading generations of observers to empathize with the stranger in the photograph. Local residents who have lived the migrant experience will share their own stories in this program co-presented by New Winston Museum. Panelists will reflect on what they see when they look at Lange's masterpiece, and enrich our understanding of local history. Want more Reynolda? Continue the night at the More Barn Concert Series with Aaron Burdett. Tickets and info at reynoldavillage.com.

October 25: The Crossnore School & Children's Home brings the pumpkin patch to Reynolda! Paint a masterpiece on your pumpkin just in time for Halloween. Enjoy hot cider and live music while you indulge your inner artist.
