Afterhours

reynolda thursday

Date: Thu, March 16, 2017
Time: 4:30pm
Location:

Reynolda House Museum of American Art

Cost:

Admission after 4:30 is $5 (includes N.C. Sales Tax). Free for Members and students.

Drop by the Museum after hours for crepes, innovative soundscapes, and hands-on studio experiences led by members of Winston-Salem’s maker community, Mixxer, Wake Forest Innovation Quarter, and the Center for Design Innovation. On March 16 at 5:30 p.m., join us for a Listening Party with 88.5 WFDD to discuss a selection of NPR clips on themes of originality, speed, and how we build on the past. Kids can learn the fun (and safe!) basics of circuitry with Kaleideum (previously SciWorks and the Children's Museum of Winston-Salem). Enjoy the musical-stylings from Asheville native, DJ Marley Carroll. From classic soul and R&B to contemporary indie electronic sounds and obscure afrobeat and disco, no era or genre is out of bounds. Marley's original music has been featured in Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, NPR and more.
