The silver compote, which is one of a pair, is made up of a hemispherical bowl with a broad rim which is pierced and chased with neoclassical ornament, including patera, bellflowers, swags and bowknots, and acanthus leaves in diamonds. The pedestal tapers downward to a domed foot with four clusters of patera and bellflowers.

This console table, one of a pair, was designed and executed in the style of Louis XVI. The top is painted in the center with a shaped oval black reserve containing a variety of polychrome flowers with green leaves, perhaps in imitation of Italian mosaic inlay. The edges of the table top are vertically scalloped.

The Elizabethan-style trapezoidal console table has four double-baluster turned legs terminating in small bun feet and united by deeply arched and ornamented skirts and heavy molded stretchers. The small plain top is composed of a single board surrounded on three sides by wide “bread-board” edges. The skirts, which appear to be let into the tops of the legs with prominent pegs (but were actually doweled together), are ornamented with carved openwork scrolls.

This tall metal vase of baluster form is covered in a coating of flawless royal-blue enamel. [1] The gilt-bronze mounts at top and bottom are in the style of Louis XVI, having draped ornament on the shoulder simulating silk and twisted rope gathered on either side with bowknots and laurel wreaths. The high collar surrounding the neck is a continuous band of interlaced guilloche ornament; and the domed cover, with alternating plain and bellflower panels, is topped with a cluster of flowers....
