An Evening for Reynolda: Celebrating the American Farm with Vivian Howard
Friday, November 4, 2016

HONORARY CHAIRS Dyeann and Henry Jordan  |  CO-CHAIRS Gwynne Taylor and Grace Broughton

Join us for a beautiful evening celebrating the vision of Katharine Smith Reynolds, her Reynolda Farm and the heritage of North Carolina agriculture. The evening will be an historic tribute to both Reynolda and the American farm, as depicted in the exhibition, Grant Wood and the American Farm. Enjoy cocktails and a memorable seated dinner alongside the iconic Reynolda barn featuring the bounty of local farms.

The evening's menu will be inspired by Chef Vivian Howard and her new book, Deep Run Roots - Stories & Recipes from My Corner of the South. Vivian is chef/owner of Chef & the Farmer and The Boiler Room in Kinston, NC; host of PBS’ hit show “A Chef’s Life” which is gearing up for its Season 4 premiere in the fall; and a James Beard Award semi-finalist. She recently launched a line of rubs and sauces with Williams-Sonoma this past spring.

Proceeds from this event provide critical support for Reynolda’s dynamic and nationally acclaimed public programs and exhibitions, using an unparalleled collection of American art and an historic setting of buildings and gardens to educate, inspire and challenge its visitors. Your support ensures that Reynolda remains a place where all people can enhance their lives through the beauty of art, history, architecture and nature.
